Study John with us in 2026-7

This event will be held from 9am-noon (*full quizzes will be 9am-3pm*) at Fishers Point of the Nazarene. Please let me know if you plan to come so we can get the right size room! Come learn about Youth Quizzing...we will have games and activities to get everyone familiar with Youth Quizzing rules, jumping, scoring, etc. It will be lots of fun and you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have.

-Youth Quizzing IS FOR EVERYONE grades 6-12. It offers motivation for teens to study scripture, allowing them to foster a life-long love of the Word of God. Many think of Youth Quizzing in terms of competition, which it does offer, but it has just as much to offer for teens who aren't interested in the competition aspect. If going to meet new friends on the district motivates someone to study scripture, great! We welcome students who are not currently attending a Nazarene Church.

-The material this year is the Gospel of John (NIV 2011 revision) Note that it is important that all quizzers are studying this version, especially for memory verses.

-Teams should technically have 3-5 quizzers, but we can have 2-person teams if needed. Single quizzers will combine with other smaller teams. Ideally a church sends full 3-5 person teams, but this often isn't possible, and everyone is welcome!

-Quizzes will be held from 9am-3pm. *Kickoff will only be 9am-noon*

-Most quiz dates/locations are shared with Children's quizzing, hopefully this reduces the time and transportation burden for families that bridge both programs.

-$5 per person lunch will be provided by the host church and available for quizzers, officials, coaches, and spectators. Please pay when you arrive for the quiz.

-Individual scores and quiz-offs will be used to determine placement for top 5/10 invitationals such as Regional Celebrate Life and the St. Louis Invitational.

If you are a new coach or official, please go to this site now and create a login. If you have a login from another district or from the distant past, it will work here. Please register for quizzes at least six days before the quiz.

Acme Quiz Resources - Alternative publisher with offerings similar to Foundry. Some of their offerings go deeper, so this is popular with quizzers looking to succeed at higher levels of competition. Be sure to choose NIV!

YouthQuiz.com - Study resources and practice questions available for $4-$22 per year

Quiz Stuff Equipment - (OPTIONAL) Manufactures the equipment we use. The district has enough equipment to run quizzes, but if you want your own set for practices you will need the following:

  -Windows laptop (you can get this anywhere)

  -External monitor that faces the quizzers (you can get this anywhere)

  -USB pad interface box ($135 + shipping from QuizStuff)
  -Jump pads ($80 + shipping per string of 5 pads from QuizStuff)

  -QuizMachine Software License ($75 per computer from QuizStuff)
